In July 2016, Wang Haitao, a student from Class 45 of Electric Power at our school, suffered from severe depression and went to the First Affiliated Hospital of Hebei North University, Beijing Hospital, and Zhangjiakou Shalingzi Hospital for treatment, spending tens of thousands of medical expenses. These tens of thousands of medical expenses may not be a large amount for an ordinary family, but for a struggling family, tens of thousands of yuan is equivalent to a huge sum of money. After the student's parents explained their situation to our school leaders, our school leaders, Principal Lv and Principal Su, immediately issued an initiative to all teachers and students. All teachers and students actively responded and extended a helping hand, raising a total of 8000 yuan in love donations in just three days. Each class held a charity donation ceremony and promptly handed over the donations to the school's finance department. The finance department, on behalf of all teachers, students, and the school, conveyed the donations to the parents of the sick students. The parents expressed their gratitude to all teachers, students, and the school.
Illness is merciless, love is boundless. This charity donation activity reflects the noble spirit of unity and mutual assistance among teachers and students in our school, and sings the traditional virtue of "one side facing difficulties, all directions supporting". The song "As long as everyone gives a little love, the world will become a beautiful world..." echoed in the campus for a long time. Hot hearts and sincere blessings make teachers and students once again feel the warmth of the big family firsthand.
