On September 12, 2016, our school held the 2016 Autumn Opening Ceremony on the school playground, presided over by Director Hao of the Political and Educational Department. The ceremony was divided into five parts: military training performances. The students from Class 567 of the college preparatory program and Class 26 of the computer science program, who were newly enrolled in the autumn, wore camouflage uniforms and performed class by class with full energy. Each student worked hard, and each class competed for the first place, making it difficult to distinguish between them. After the competition, Class 5 of the college preparatory program won first place; Class 6 of the college preparatory course achieved second place. At the opening ceremony of the school year, Yuan Xuefeng from Class 45 of Electric Power and Yuan Shuyu from Class 7 of College Preparatory School respectively spoke on behalf of the elderly and new students. They expressed that they should cherish this hard-earned learning opportunity, not disappoint the earnest hopes of parents and the school for them, study cultural knowledge and skills well, and become useful talents for society. At the opening ceremony, Vice President Zhang Suzhen also announced the commendation decision for 30 excellent students and 28 outstanding class cadres in the school, as well as the list of 44 students who received scholarships in 2016. Principal Su delivered a speech on behalf of the school leadership, introducing to his classmates that since its establishment, our school has conscientiously implemented the Party's educational policy, pursued progress while maintaining stability, complemented each other's strengths, cooperated with strong partners, and formed alliances in education. This has enabled our school to reach a new level and become a leader in the vocational education industry in Zhangjiakou. Finally, the chairman of the school, Lv Hantao, delivered an enthusiastic speech, stating that "youth are the builders of the future of our country, and students should study hard and take on the responsibility of building our country.". He used vivid language and actuarial methods to make demands to all students in the school from the following five aspects: first, to become a person who keeps up with the main theme of the times. Student life is a crucial period for a person to establish life goals, firm beliefs, and establish correct values. He hopes that each student can take the first step in life well; Secondly, one should learn to be a person who cherishes time. Students should study diligently, with black hair not knowing how to study hard early, and white hair regretting studying late; Thirdly, to become a "brave" person, an excellent person must possess a sense of responsibility, towards the country, society, family, oneself, and others. Students not only need to learn cultural skills, but also learn to be a good person; Fifthly, to become a "healthy" person, health can be divided into physical health and mental health. Students should be outgoing and open-minded, while strengthening physical exercise and enhancing physical fitness. Without a good body, even if one has talent, they cannot serve society well, nor can they live a good life. The chairman meaningfully encourages all teachers and students in the school. The task before us in the new semester is very heavy.
