On April 11, 2017, Wenhua Electric Power Vocational School held the 2017 Spring Semester Opening Ceremony. The opening ceremony clarified the school's focus and development direction for this semester, stimulated the work and learning enthusiasm of the faculty and students, and set a good start for the entire semester's work.
The opening ceremony was presided over by the Director of the Political and Educational Department, Hao Zhong. Firstly, the national anthem was played, followed by the performance of the new class's military training report, including marching, entering, running, queuing, and other movements. The new students demonstrated standardized and good military training movements to the teachers and students with full enthusiasm and good mental state. The neat performance won warm applause from the teachers and students. After various competitions, Class 46 of Electric Power won first place; Preparatory classes 8 and 9 are tied for second place. Zhang Suzhen, Vice President of the Academic Affairs Office, announced the school's commendation decision, and from 2016 to 2017, our school selected 33 excellent students; 24 outstanding class cadres; One advanced class collective; 11 advanced dormitories; 9 first prizes for scholarship recipients; 17 second prizes; 23 third prizes. The award-winning students were all filled with happiness on their faces. Zhang Peng from Preparatory Class 4, representing the old students, spoke at the meeting. He personally explained the importance of learning to the students and strived to play an important role in future construction. Cao Wei, representing the new students from Electric Power Class 46, spoke on behalf of the new students. He expressed his determination to all teachers and students to not disappoint everyone's hopes, study hard, cherish good times, and be a good student with excellent character. Principal Su gave a speech on the current work of our school. He said, "Since its establishment in 2005, under the leadership of the higher education bureau and the joint efforts of the school leaders and all teachers and students, the school has gradually grown in size..." He encouraged his classmates to overcome difficulties, study hard, and become pillars of society as soon as possible. The chairman of the school, Lv Hantao, also spoke. He encouraged all the faculty and staff to work seriously, and all teachers to constantly learn new knowledge and keep up with the times. Principal Lv also had unlimited hope for his classmates. He said, "Currently, we have employment opportunities in 22 provinces and cities across the country, and our graduates have achieved great results in their respective positions.
