The functional departments of the college include the Party Mass Work Department, Enrollment Center, School Enterprise Cooperation and Employment Department, Teaching and Research Department, Student Affairs Department, Administration and Personnel Department, Finance Department, Assets Department, Security Department, Library, Information Technology Center, and General Affairs Department. The teaching units include the School of Architecture and Engineering, School of Automotive Engineering, School of Medicine and Nursing, School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, School of Network Engineering, School of Economic Management, School of Media and Art, School of Transportation Engineering, School of Continuing Education, School of Vocational Education, and Department of Public Education, with more than 12000 students enrolled. The college has a high-level "dual teacher" teaching team composed of more than 100 senior professors, graduate students, foreign students, foreign teachers, and a large number of young teachers who are currently pursuing master's and doctoral degrees. The college covers an area of 500 acres, with a building area of 280000 square meters. It has a comprehensive modern teaching building of nearly 106000 square meters and various standardized sports venues. The unique and tasteful art building is equipped with modern multifunctional teaching halls, simulation training halls, and first-class practice rooms for students majoring in art, sports, and flight attendants; The advanced welding center includes spot welding machines, submerged arc welding machines, carbon dioxide gas shielded welding machines, and weld seam gap detection equipment; The thousands of square meters of skill training centers, including automotive entities and models, internship workshops, and training bases, provide students with a competitive stage; There are voice rooms, multimedia classrooms, computer network internship rooms, and electronic and electrical laboratories in the comprehensive building; The advanced nursing experimental building has newly established 16 laboratories, including internal and surgical laboratories, intensive care units, immunology, biochemistry, pathology, and 4 community nursing stations. A new 500 square meter film and television art experimental center has been built, including non editorial experiments, broadcasting and hosting laboratories, animation professional computer rooms, and photography and camera experimental equipment. Other facilities such as the library, sports field, cafeteria, student dormitories, bathing centers, self-service banks, and commercial areas provide comprehensive logistical support for college students.
Since its establishment, the college has focused on teaching reform and management, strengthened connotation construction, and achieved remarkable results. Teachers and students have won various awards in national and provincial competitions multiple times. In 2008 and 2013, the college successfully passed the evaluation of talent cultivation in vocational colleges. In the 2008 evaluation of talent cultivation in vocational colleges by the Ministry of Education, the college became the only university in Hebei Province to pass the evaluation with good results. At the 5th Vocational Education Summit Forum and Asia Pacific Vocational College Cooperation Forum held in October 2013, the college was awarded the title of "2013 Excellent College for Vocational Education Content Construction". In order to connect with the undergraduate teaching after the college's undergraduate promotion, the Hebei Provincial Education Examination Institute has approved Shijiazhuang Institute of Technology as one of the first pilot colleges for "self-taught vocational education" in Hebei Province. Students can participate in tutoring during their spare time while pursuing a vocational degree, and complete their undergraduate studies. They can directly participate in self-study exams organized by the state and the main examination institutions. The self-study courses can be completed through exemption, connection, and practice, while the remaining courses can participate in national exams. After passing the exams, students can obtain both vocational and undergraduate degrees. The college currently offers undergraduate programs in marketing, engineering cost, accounting, nursing, mechanical manufacturing and automation, sports, mechatronics integration, and art, covering most of our majors. At present, some graduates of the class of 2013 in our college have passed all the self-study subjects and obtained a bachelor's degree certificate, which means that they can enter a vocational college and graduate from a bachelor's degree. 
The college implements an applied high skilled talent training model of "professional skills+job certificates+educational certificates", and sets up college English proficiency level exams, computer application ability level exams, and provincial-level Mandarin tests. The college has three national vocational skills appraisal institutes, which evaluate 21 professions (occupations) such as welders, automotive repairmen, and engineering surveyors. Those who pass the exams will be awarded a unified national vocational qualification certificate.
The college has a school enterprise cooperation and employment promotion center, responsible for recommending student employment and placement work. Currently, it has established stable internship employment cooperation relationships with more than 180 employers, and the employment rate of graduates has reached over 95%. In order to achieve stable employment and sign employment contracts, our institute organizes an annual talent supply and demand dual selection meeting.
