Although September is approaching, it is still summer and we still use a lot of electricity every day. Therefore, we still need to pay attention to electricity safety. Next, we will invite professional teachers from Zhangjiakou Wenhua Electric Power Vocational School to explain the precautions for summer electricity safety, hoping to help everyone.
Summer Electricity Safety Precautions
1、 High power consuming appliances should use separate power sockets
Because both wires and sockets have a specified current carrying capacity, if multiple appliances are used in one power socket, when the current exceeds its rated flow, the wires will heat up, and the plastic insulation sleeve may melt and cause combustion.
2、 Dust accumulation inside electrical appliances should be regularly removed
Because the dust cover is too thick, it is not conducive to the heat dissipation of electrical appliances. The accumulation of dust inside the color TV not only affects the viewing effect, but may even cause malfunctions. Excessive dust accumulation on the filter screen of air conditioning can affect refrigeration efficiency, increase power consumption, and shorten device life.
3、 Household appliances on fire cannot be extinguished with water
If any abnormal noise, odor, temperature, smoke or fire are found in the use of household appliances, the power should be immediately cut off, and water should not be used blindly to extinguish them.
4、 Do not operate electrical appliances when sweating on your hands
In summer, the human body sweats more, and sweat is conductive. The electrical resistance of sweating hands is different from that of clean hands. Under the same conditions, the likelihood and severity of electric shock during sweating far exceed that of ordinary situations.
5、 Pay attention to protection when repairing electrical appliances
Do not repair live circuits or equipment in your home with bare hands and feet. If live repairs are necessary, wear shoes and clean and dry cloth gloves.
6、 To prevent water from entering the home, first cut off the power supply
In summer, there is a lot of rain and water. If your home is accidentally flooded, you should first cut off the power supply, that is, pull off the switch or fuse in the home to prevent accidents caused by insulation damage to the household appliances being used. Secondly, after cutting off the power, move household appliances that may be submerged in water to a non submerged area to prevent insulation from getting damp and affecting future use.
