Since 2018, under the warm care and guidance of leaders at all levels, Zhangjiakou Wenhua Electric Power Vocational School has strictly implemented relevant national educational policies and relevant regulations of social organizations. Since its establishment ten years ago, the school has delivered over 3000 outstanding graduates to the society. 1、 School situation
Zhangjiakou Wenhua Electric Power Vocational School is a full-time secondary vocational school approved by the Education Bureau and registered with the Provincial Department of Education. It was established on September 29, 2009. As of the end of 2018, the total number of registered students in the school was 891. In 2018, there were 347 students enrolled and 206 graduates. The school's leadership structure is sound, with a board of directors, a school committee, and a party branch. It includes an academic affairs office, a political and educational office, a moral education office, an office, an enrollment and employment office, a teaching and research office, and a youth league committee. There are 11 members of the school committee, including 1 chairman (also party branch secretary), 1 principal, 3 vice principals, 1 academic affairs director, 1 political and educational director, 1 finance department head, 1 office director, 1 youth league secretary, and 1 director of the teaching and research office. There are a total of 52 faculty members in the school, including 37 full-time teachers, 8 senior teachers, and 17 intermediate teachers. Among full-time teachers, 22 have a bachelor's degree or above, accounting for 59% of them.
The school has a computer room, multimedia classroom, electrician laboratory, electrical laboratory, thermal instrument room, fitter workshop, welder workshop, thermal instrument room, and electric drive assembly room. The number of workers in the training workshop is 6 for welders, 40 for fitters, and 30 for electricians, which greatly meets the teaching and practical needs of the school. Continuously improving the school's educational conditions, multiple investments have been made, and a microcomputer room has been expanded. Currently, the school has 188 computers, 80 sets of student seats have been replaced, and dormitory facilities have been continuously improved. 46 electrical instruments and 5 electric motors have been purchased, resulting in a comprehensive improvement of the school's teaching and student learning, living, and internship environment.

In response to the actual situation of students with poor foundation, weak foundation, and unstable ideological quality, our school adheres to a dual approach of "adult" and "talent" for students. In terms of learning, we should focus on routine teaching management and comprehensively improve the overall level of teaching. According to the principles of "strictness, meticulousness, practicality, and persistence", we continuously strengthen the routine management of school teaching, adhere to the system of weekly inspection and monthly summary, and ensure excellent teaching order. Develop a practical and feasible teaching plan, conduct comprehensive theoretical and practical training courses according to the plan, increase the inspection of preparation, teaching, approval, auxiliary, examination, practice and other links, improve the student evaluation system, strengthen communication and exchange between teachers and students, enhance the pertinence of teaching, and comprehensively improve the overall level of teaching. Implement a morning and evening roll call system in daily life, raise the national flag system on Monday morning, conduct regular safety education system, conduct daily inspections and night patrols, identify individuals and events that do not meet safety requirements, utilize class meeting time, organize key members of the class to be ideological workers of the class collective, establish upright ideological workers, and promptly detect and handle key individuals with signs or hidden dangers by the Political and Educational Department. In the spring semester of 2018, our school had 713 students who were eligible for national tuition exemption, with each person receiving 1150 yuan, totaling 819950 yuan. Under the guidance of this concept, the school has established majors such as operation and maintenance of thermal equipment in thermal power plants, electrical equipment in power plants and substations, water treatment and chemical supervision in thermal power plants, computer application, welding technology application, accounting computerization, and e-commerce according to market demand. Based on the characteristics of our school's majors, we organize relevant students to conduct a teaching visit and internship every semester. For example, our school has internship students in the operation and maintenance of hydration positions, boiler positions, centralized control positions, steam turbine positions, and electrical positions in self owned power plants of Langfang Kaiyue Group, Tianjin Lancao Power Maintenance Company, Jiulong Paper Industry Self owned Power Plant, Shandong Weiqiao Aluminum Industry Self owned Power Plant, Zhangjiakou Shenghua Thermal Power Plant, Zhangjiakou Datang Xujiazhuang Thermal Power Plant, Hebei Xingang Steel Self owned Power Plant, etc. While improving the effectiveness of student internships, there has been a significant improvement in professional quality. The students who were employed in our school from 2009 to 2017 quickly became a new force that met the requirements of enterprises. For example, Zhao Yajun, Liu Jijing, Zhao Haibo, Pang Guowei, and others from Shidongyuan Thermal Power Company have rapidly grown into professional backbone after nearly a year of internships, and have now been promoted to class leaders. Our school's students, especially those who have participated in internships, can understand the importance of vocational qualification certificates. Our school teaches vocational skills knowledge in daily teaching, conducts centralized training before internships, and conducts graduation exams. So far, our school's vocational skills level of interns outside the school is relatively high, achieving a pass rate and ownership rate of 90%.
6、 Main issues and improvement measures
In the face of our achievements, we are pleased with our achievements, and at the same time, the school leadership team has always maintained a clear mind and been thinking about continuing to improve the student internship rate and employment rate. In response to the contradiction between the school's professional curriculum and the constantly changing market demand, we have adopted the form of teaching internships in off campus internship bases on the basis of school internships. We regularly organize students to visit and learn from the internship bases and designated placement enterprises of the school for internship training. During this process, we have found that there is a certain gap between school teaching internships and the modernization requirements of enterprises, and there is a certain disconnect between school teaching internships and student employment. School leaders have conducted multiple studies on the market and employment needs of enterprises, and have explored a new model of early internship for current students. To this end, we have adopted several models: firstly, incorporating student teaching internships into the journey teaching process, modifying teaching plans, and encouraging professional teachers to increase and accelerate practical training exercises. The second approach is to adopt a combination of teaching internships, early internships, and on-the-job internships. The school arranges six months of teaching internships, and eligible students will be placed in batches at our school's internship base for several months or even six months of early internships. This lays the foundation for better adapting to the needs of enterprises and creates a prerequisite for paid internships for students. But we do have a lack of sufficient funding channels. Therefore, we strive to receive support from relevant departments at the higher level while continuously strengthening the school's own construction and striving to improve our school's infrastructure and hardware.
